Hillman to Oversee Washington DC Office and More Than Twenty-Five National PSA Campaigns
The Advertising Council announced today the promotion of Michelle Hillman to Senior Vice President, Group Campaign Director from Vice President of Campaign Management. In her position, Hillman will oversee the development of all Ad Council public service advertising campaigns managed in the organization’s Washington, D.C. office. Hillman succeeds Kathy Crosby, who has been named Director of the Office of Heath Communication and Education at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Tobacco Products.
In her new position, Hillman will supervise more than 25 national public service advertising (PSA) campaigns on behalf of federal government agencies and non-profit sponsors, including the Ad Council’s award-winning Drunk Driving Prevention campaign, Shelter Pet Adoption, Save the Children’s “Good Goes” effort and the iconic Wildfire Prevention campaign featuring Smokey Bear.
Hillman joined the organization in September 2000 as a Campaign Director and brings over 17 years of advertising agency and client experience to her new post. Prior to joining the Ad Council, she worked as an account supervisor for Doner Advertising, managing national brands including Prudential, AARP and Johns Hopkins Medicine.
